Library/Media Center

The Ramapo High School Media Center print book collection, which numbers approximately 15,000 volumes, includes the most pertinent and up-to-date resources available.  The collection is updated continually to best support the varied curricula of the school.  In addition, the book collections of both the town libraries and high school media centers of Bergen County are available to every student through the BELS and BCCLS systems on-line.

The Media Center affords the students over forty-one databases, accessible from within the school and from remote locations (with passwords available at the Media Center circulation desk).  The databases include historical, literary, and periodical materials as well as materials for general reference.  E-books are available also, with this option growing on a yearly basis.

Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM-3:10 PM
Friday:  7:30 AM-2:45 PM
Closed holidays and vacation days

Admission to the Media Center:  
Students may come to the Media Center during study halls (with passes), lunch periods, and after school.  In addition, academic classes use the Media Center classroom and resources daily throughout the year.

Book Loans:  Students use their Ramapo student I.D. cards to borrow books from all Bergen County high school media centers.  Books are borrowed for one month and may be renewed.  Reference materials and magazines may not circulate, but can be borrowed overnight.
Students use their current town library card to borrow books from town libraries.
