5/14/2020

Ramapo Indian Hills District Board of Education unanimously approved veteran administrator Bruce Watson to head our district High Schools as Interim Superintendent effective July 20, 2020, through June 30, 2021. Watson will replace Beverly MacKay, the active Superintendent since 2014, and who will be retiring after serving seventeen years in the district.

Watson brings a wealth of experience to the district. His twenty-eight-year career started in the Fair Lawn N.J. School District as a Business Administrator and moved up the ranks to Assistant Superintendent and then Superintendent– a role he served in for fifteen years. Watson went on to become the Superintendent of the Onteora School District in Boiceville, N.Y. until his semi-retirement.

More recently, he served as the Interim Superintendent for the Glen Rock, N.J. School District, and Interim Business Administrator for the New Milford, N.J. School District.

Watson is a resident of the FLOW area and has had one child graduate from Indian Hills and another graduate from Ramapo.
