Human Resources

Welcome to the Human Resources Department

At the heart of our work in the Human Resources Department is a commitment to the students of our district. We are dedicated to recruiting teachers, administrators, and support staff who are best equipped to support this mission. In collaboration with district administrators and the business office, we aim to cultivate a workplace environment that promotes staff teamwork, innovation, and creativity.

Our department focuses on the following key areas to support the district's success:

●      Building and maintaining a culture of trust where all students and staff feel safe and secure to learn and work.

●      Promoting core values such as leadership, responsibility, adaptability, integrity, productivity, independence, and acceptance.

●      Encouraging wellness and supporting a healthy lifestyle for all staff members.

●      Attracting and retaining a diverse, talented, and dedicated team that provides students with an educational experience designed to equip them for success in the 21st century.

●      Offering professional development opportunities that empower staff with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to be effective, impactful educators.

●      Establishing a comprehensive mentoring program to support novice teachers as they grow and develop in their careers.

●      Recognizing the achievements and contributions of our staff to both the district and the broader FLOW community.

●      Implementing a total rewards program, including a competitive salary guide and a health benefits program tailored to meet the needs of our staff and their families.

●      Maintaining an "open door" policy to encourage transparent communication, feedback, and discussion, ensuring all conversations are handled with confidentiality, fairness, and timeliness.

Together, these initiatives ensure that:

●      Our students receive the highest-quality education possible.

●      Our staff have the training and support needed to help students excel in a modern classroom environment.

●      We continue to foster a healthy work/life balance for our staff.

●      Continuous improvement becomes a standard expectation for both staff and students.

●      The district's commitment to excellence is upheld at all times.

"Effective September 1, 2011, all employees of State and local government must reside in the State of New Jersey, unless exempted under law. If you already work for State or local government as of September 1, 2011, and you do not live in New Jersey, you are not required to move to New Jersey. However, if you begin your office, position or employment on September 1, 2011 or later, you must reside in New Jersey. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date you take your office, position or employment to relocate your residence to New Jersey.
