Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District Appoints Amanda Znutas as Supervisor of Special Education
The Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Znutas as the District’s new Supervisor of Special Education.
Ms. Znutas brings more than 17 years of educational experience and a proven record of leadership in special education, multilingual learner programming, staff development, and instructional leadership. She most recently served as Supervisor of Special Programs (Secondary Special Education and P–12 ESL) for Ridgewood Public Schools, where she provided district-wide leadership across ten schools, supervised over 100 staff members, and led initiatives focused on inclusive practices, program development, compliance, and student achievement.
In her new role, Ms. Znutas will oversee specialized programming, support students with diverse learning needs, collaborate with families and staff, and help advance the District’s commitment to providing high-quality educational opportunities for all learners.
Throughout her career, Ms. Znutas has demonstrated a passion for fostering student success through strong partnerships with families, educators, and community stakeholders. Her leadership experience includes overseeing specialized programs, supporting staffing and resource allocation, implementing systems to improve service delivery, and promoting professional growth among staff.
Prior to her administrative leadership roles, Ms. Znutas served as a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant, supporting students from preschool through young adulthood across a variety of educational settings, with the majority of her experience centered at the high school level. She also worked as an elementary educator, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of student development across grade levels.
Ms. Znutas holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education, a Supervisory Certification, and is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
The Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District welcomes Ms. Znutas and looks forward to the expertise, leadership, and vision she will bring to the Special Programs Department. Ms. Znutas is anticipated to begin her role in mid-August and will work closely with students, families, and staff to support the District’s commitment to excellence, inclusion, and student success.
