Congratulations to the Indian Hills Academic Decathlon team for their outstanding performance at the recent United States Academic Decathlon competition, where they brought home an impressive 13 medals!

This prestigious multidisciplinary event challenges students to move beyond their academic comfort zones, requiring each participant to master a rigorous curriculum across ten diverse categories.
In keeping with the program's mission and vision, our team showcased incredible "spunk and stamina" while embodying the core value of inclusive excellence—uniting students of all achievement levels to reach their full potential. We are incredibly proud of our students for demonstrating the teamwork, integrity, and academic versatility that define a true champion.
In the Honors Division, Alexander Noerr received three medals. Gold for Music, Silver for Social Science, and Bronze for Art. The Bronze medal in the Essay category, Honors Division went to Daphne Bergel.

In the Scholastic Divison, Zachary Brothers had the 3rd highest overall Scholastic score in Division III, received a Gold medal in Economics AND Science and received a Bronze medal in both Math and Social Science. This division also included a Silver medal for Ryleigh Burchell in Speech and Mark Havel receiving a Silver medal in Essay and a Bronze in Interview.

In the Varsity division, Angelina Dominguez received a Bronze medal in Interview, Paul Vitolo took home the Silver in Speech.

There was also enough of a break for the students to get out into that famous California sunshine so that they could enjoy some down time.

The team worked exceptionally hard all year, and we're proud of how well they represented Indian Hills and the District. Congratulations to one and all!
