To kick off Mental Health Awareness Month, the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District recently hosted two Student Wellness Fairs designed to provide students with essential resources and a space to focus on their mental well-being.

The events, held at both Ramapo High School and Indian Hills High School, brought together local organizations to share helpful resources, wellness activities, and information regarding mental health.

Students were encouraged to "go green" to show their support for the cause and participated in an interactive "table tour." Students earned additional raffle entries for each table they visited to learn about community resources, with wellness-focused prizes generously donated by local businesses, including:

Organized by Student Assistance Counselors Jasmen Mantashian, Andrea Saladino, and Rebecca Cornell, the fairs served as a vital reminder that "Mental Health Matters." These events are part of the district's ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive environment and ensuring students have access to the tools they need to navigate the challenges of high school and beyond.
For students in need of immediate support, the district continues to promote essential resources such as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988) and the Crisis Text Line (Text START to 741-741).
