Important ACT and School Day Info for 10/6/20

Dear Parents / Guardians,

Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 6th, both Ramapo and Indian Hills High Schools will be administering the ACT test.  Only students taking the ACT should arrive at the school building.  Transportation to and from testing is the responsibility of the parent / guardian.  All test takers need to arrive at school with a signed paper copy of the ACT COVID-19 Student Screening Form, dated October 6, 2020, and report to their testing room no later than 7:35 AM.

All other students will participate in the asynchronous virtual learning day from home.  All students are required to sign into their classes via Schoology or Google Classroom and complete / submit assignments assigned by their teachers for the day.  Teachers will post a Zoom link for an “office hour” in the afternoon for students to ask questions and receive extra help.  Students who are testing in the morning will complete the remainder of their asynchronous virtual learning day at home after testing, and are expected to make-up any missed work in a timely manner.

For all students registered to take the school day ACT tomorrow, it is IMPORTANT that you review the information below prior to testing:

  • Students must be in their testing room no later than 7:35am.  Late students may forfeit their ability to test.
  • Student room assignments will be posted to Schoology prior to testing.

  • Students are responsible for bringing their own pencils and a working calculator.  These materials can not be provided to or shared between students.

  • Due to COVID-19 restrictions, students cannot bring food or water to testing.
  • Students should ensure they are well rested before testing, make time to eat breakfast the morning of the test, and arrive at school on time and dressed comfortably.
