Season’s Greetings

I want to share with everyone that during these difficult times we need to leave behind our worries and stress to enjoy some precious time with our families. Yes, it will not be the same as past years however there are still memories, family videos, Zoom and Google Meets and hopefully having our precious loved ones close by to celebrate the positive things that we enjoy.

For parents it’s the opportunity to spend some extra time with their children and plan some things that they can do safely or just sharing in the family traditions that you continue to do from your days a young adult. Some last-minute decorating and some help with baking or enjoying shared video games or traditional board games. My personal memories go back to helping my father set up our Lionel Trains which I carried onto my children and now with my grandchildren.

For students it’s a time to relax and enjoy some time with your family and friends and most of all separate for a few days from synchronous and asynchronous learning. Of course, you could also pick up a good book along the way with a focus on a subject you enjoy from gaming to athletics and any other subject that you are interested in. All I ask is that you stay safe for your health and the health of your family and friends. I look forward to seeing all of you virtually or in school at the start of the new year.

Just remember, your presence, love and kindness are the best gift anyone can receive for any holiday or just because.

I wish you all a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season and a Wonderful New Year!

Mr. Anthony Riscica

Interim Superintendent
