State Testing Scheduling and Transportation Info

Dear Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School Parents/Guardians:

As you know, our District will be administering the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) at both Indian Hills and Ramapo High Schools on the following days:

May 13 – NJSLA-Math (All 9th and 10th grade students enrolled in Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2)

May 14 – NJSLA-Math (All 9th and 10th grade students enrolled in Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2) and

                NJSLA-Science (All 11th grade students)

May 15 – NJSLA-ELA (All 9th and 10th grade students)

May 16 – NJSLA-ELA (All 9th and 10th grade students) and

                NJSLA-Science (All 11th grade students)

All students scheduled to take a morning AP exam from May 13 through May 16 are expected to arrive at school during the normal time and will take their scheduled AP exam.  Any conflicts with the NJSLA (Math, ELA, or Science) will be made up during the NJSLA make-up time period during the week of May 20th. 

All testing will begin promptly at 7:40 am, so please make sure that your child arrives to school on time.

May 13 and 15 – There will be an additional bus run – Due to a large portion of the student population that is not testing.

Attention all Grade 11 and 12 students:  If your child is a regular bus rider, he/she will need to be at their regular bus stop according to the schedule below. This will assure their arrival to school by 10:05 am. All Juniors and Seniors who drive to school should also plan to arrive by 10:05 am.

  • Monday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 15:    2 hours and 50 minutes after the normal bus pick-up time

May 14 and 16 – No additional bus run - The majority of the student population (all students grades 9-11) will be testing for NJSLA. Attention all Grade 12 studentsIf your child is a regular bus rider, and will need transportation to school on May 14 and/or 16, please phone the transportation department by Monday, May 6 at 201-416-8100 - X3808.

Monday, May 13, 2019 – NJSLA-Math (2nd Bus Run is scheduled): 

Grade 9 and 10 students arrive to school at 7:40 am for NJSLA-Math Testing

All Non-Testing students arrive by 10:05 am to begin the normal school day
