NJ Bio Testing Schedule and Information

NJ Bio Testing Schedule and Information

On May 31 and June 1, 2017 all students at Ramapo and Indian Hills High Schools who are enrolled in a first-year Biology course are required by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) to take the New Jersey Biology Competency Test (NJBCT).  All high schools in New Jersey are required to have a 95% student participation rate for students enrolled in these courses.  Therefore, the make-up dates for the Biology assessments will be on June 7 and 8, 2017. The participation rate is part of a high school’s determination of Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) under the NCLB (No Child Left Behind) federal law. Therefore, it is most important that our students provide their best effort on this assessment.

Students enrolled in a first year Biology course (all levels) and UP SAT Biology H are required to take the test on May 31 and June 1. All students involved in testing should be in school at the regular start time each day of testing and report directly to their assigned rooms for the test administration. Room assignments will be posted prior to May 31 at both high schools.
