On
February 24th, the FLOW-area Relay For Life committee will be hosting a
special kickoff event at 7PM pm in the Ramapo High School cafeteria.
Relay For Life is an annual series of walk-a-thons held worldwide to
help raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society in their
fight against cancer. The kickoff event begins the fundraising period
leading up to the FLOW-area walk-a-thon being held in May. Guest
speakers at the kickoff even include Brian Moran, a cancer survivor;
Louis Moore, a caretaker; and Isabel Bayer, a team captain.The event
also includes a free buffet with food donated from various restaurants
in the FLOW area, including Pizzeria Mandera, H2Ocean, Goldberg's Bagels
and many others. Help your community raise funds by participating in
raffles, games, and by purchasing Relay for Life fashion-wear--all while
DJ Nicky Sibilia provides some great tunes. Come out to the Ramapo High
School cafeteria to learn more about Relay for Life and support members
of your community. Entry to the kickoff event is free and is welcome to
children and adults of all ages. Register by clicking here!
